We are continually bewildered by the number of abandoned boys and girls living on the streets in Brazil, left there to struggle in the hope that luck will eventually pass by their way!
Of course, we still do far too little to change that situation, probably because whenever we try to, we hide ourselves behind the impossibility of giving them the best, knowing very well that any old thing will not resolve their problems and, that nobody really wants to give the minimum when the problem needs to be resolved with the maximum…
So how does one find the way to reach maximum?
By means of the minimum of course!
By observing the most urgent needs.
Then bit-by-bit, over time, we will construct new lives for those whom society has abandoned as worthless citizens.
Today, ex-street kids are replicating the work that was once done with them, educating other at-risk children attended by us. Preventing those kids from falling victim to the streets. Ex-street kids travel to Europe each year and teach first world kids Capoeira and exchange life experiences.
They are giving something back and not just receiving.
The minimum has reached the maximum.
That is the value of your small contributions, and without them, we would have been unable to even begin covering our most urgent needs.
Nothing is comparable to the suffering of a child abandoned to the streets. It is the duty of every responsible citizen to mobilize whatever is in his or her power to change that situation.

Greg, thanks for taking care of our street kids, they are often regarded as little criminals by Brazilians and usually treated as such; not many people would go out of their way to help these kids. Thanks for looking after them.
